The International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) is an ideal showcase for the world’s manufacturing leaders. Vapor Tech was a prominent exhibitor, and we gave an in-depth technical presentation on failure modes in combustion engine parts.
IMTS convenes every two years, and the scale of the event – as well as the diversity of technologies on display – is remarkable. More than 2,400 companies exhibited this year, and 115,000 industrial decision-makers were on hand to put new technologies to the test and make important procurement decisions.
Vapor Tech thought leadership
Vapor Tech was fortunate to use the event to share thought leadership around durable surface finishes, specifically in the context of combustion engines – which offer some of the harshest conditions possible for coatings. In our presentation we addressed various PVD processes, ionization, various wear types and use cases, and our Remote Anode Assisted Magnetron Sputtering (RAAMS) process, which produces notable advances in hardness, improved microstructures, and glossiness.
We’re already preparing for 2018’s event, which will be yet another opportunity to share Vapor Tech’s successes and connect with the best and brightest in the industry.
