We custom-design VaporTech VT-Functional™ PVD coatings to make your critical components last longer, operate more efficiently due to lower friction, withstand high temperatures, and resist corrosion. Our finishes, deposited by our VaporTech coating systems are not just metal but new materials made by reacting chromium, titanium, zirconium, or other metals with oxygen, nitrogen, or carbon. A VT-Functional coating can improve the hardness and durability of even the hardest, heat-treated steel. Our black and chrome-alternative options make trim look great, too.

Chrome : VaporTech coating systems are a safe alternative to hexavalent chrome auto trim. The PVD process can deposit a pure chromium coating to your parts. The addition of elements such as nitrogen can also produce even more durable chrome alternatives such as chromium nitride (CrN) that significantly improve performance in high-wear applications. To avoid environmental impact, improve worker safety, and reduce costs, our PVD chrome coating process provides a simple, reliable coating alternative that is by its nature beautiful, durable, and safe.
Black trim: Applying black metallic coatings has historically been extremely difficult because there are no naturally occurring black ceramic or metallic materials.
The VaporTech® PVD True Black™ coating eliminates these issues. It is not only visually impressive but also adds a durable layer of protection to parts and products. True Black finish produces a pure, neutral, long-lasting black that adds durability to car and motorcycle trim.
